Learn how to make the perfect homemade pizza crust by following this simple recipe. #Best Recipe Ever Making your own dough for a pizza is really easy and much cheaper than buying the pre-made dough at the store. Plus it tastes better too! If you're like me, you might also enjoy making your own crust over getting takeout every week. Making your own will help save money and time that would otherwise be spent ordering or picking up! Of course, if you prefer to do other things on a Friday night, I think we can agree that a healthy alternative is worth it. How To Make Pizza Dough: Ingredients and Directions What better way to spend a Friday night than making your own pizza? I love this project because you can really customize it based on your taste. You can add any toppings you want and adjust the ingredients to suit your tastes. It's a very cost effective dinner and makes for a great night of fun with the family. Ingredients: -2 1/2 cups warm water -1 package yeast (about 2 1/4 tsp) -1 tablespoon sugar (optional) -3 tablespoons olive oil (or your favorite oil) -1 teaspoon salt (I like to use kosher salt, but table salt is fine too!) – measure out and set aside before mixing dough. The dough will need to sit for at least an hour so it's best to do this step first so you can focus on the rest. \t Directions: Combine warm water, yeast and sugar in large bowl. Let sit for five minutes. Stir in oil and salt until well combined. Add flour (3 1/2 cups) and mix until dough forms. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and let sit for at least an hour. For Rolling out the pizza dough, I used about 1 1/4 cup of dough per pizza, but it's really up to you! I usually roll out the dough on a floured work surface with a rolling pin. Roll the dough into a circle that is about 14 inches in diameter or slightly larger. If you are working with thinner crusts, then just remember that the larger your dough is, the thicker your crust will be at the edges. After you have rolled the dough into a circle, then move onto the next step! For the next part I simply sprinkled olive oil over my pizza and spread it evenly across the crust. I prefer to add olive oil because I think it makes the crust less soggy and more crunchy. Once you have added your toppings, be sure to add them in a line down the center of your dough. This way, when your pizza cooks up in the oven, you will get that great crust and toppings that we all love so much! Before we move on to cooking this pizza in an oven, we need to prepare it before we get started. cfa1e77820
